More than 30 million Americans fall in the category of "some college, no degree" and require the flexibility to pursue higher education with feasible and more cost-effective options.An estimated 34 U.S. institutions now offer some form of competency-based learning and credit by exam according to research by Robert Kelchen which hints that this method of teaching will soon be adopted by newer schools across the country.
