Tyton Partners Releases Time for Class Toolkit to Guide Higher Education Professionals in the Expansion of High Quality Digital Learning
Tyton Partners has released the Time for Class Toolkit, a set of research-based briefs designed to support institutional dialogue, decision-making and action around instructional practices and digital learning tools, especially adaptive courseware. The kit was built using data from Time for Class, a national longitudinal survey of 4,000+ higher education faculty and administrators, fielded since 2014 by Tyton Partners and the Babson Survey Research Group.

Summit presents plans to provide high-speed broadband in schools and libraries

Some 110 school leaders from across the nation attended the National Connected Superintendents on November 20. The event was part of the Obama administration’s 5-year plan, ConnectED, to provide nearly universal high-speed broadband connectivity to schools and libraries. Currently, fewer than 40% of schools have access to high-speed Internet. U.S. Secretary of Education Arne Duncan notes that America must compete with countries like South Korea, which have replaced hard copy textbooks with digital content and Uruguay, where each student is assigned a digital device.
