Catholic Education Arizona Helps Create Future Leaders through Private Education Tax Credits

Nancy Padberg, President & CEO of Catholic Education Arizona, announced, "Catholic Education Arizona had a record Giving Tuesday, raising $678,715 from individual taxpayers for the underserved students in the Catholic schools of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Phoenix." Arizona legislation gives taxpayers the opportunity to direct part of their state tax liability through the Private Education Tax Credits. Individuals and corporations will receive a dollar-for-dollar tax credit. Arizona is one of 17 states that provide this option for taxpayers. Director of Strategic Partnerships, Colleen McCoy-Cejka shared, "Catholic education is meant to be accessible, attainable, and affordable for any family that desires it.
