ONLINE EDUCATION WHITE PAPER

Introduction notes that the CSU has been offering online classes since the 1990s and currently has over 60 online degree programs. Three resolutions drafted by the Academic Senate of the California State University (ASCSU) since 2008 are cited, as are presentations on online learning in 2009 and 2010 and handouts developed by the Technology Steering Committee (TSC) and the Academic Technology Steering Committee (ATSC). Content of the following six sections of the paper is also briefly discussed.
