Traditional teaching involved students absorbing information by listening to a teacher and taking notes, leaving little to no room for student creativity. But with the emergence of EdTech, teachers now have a vast range of platforms that can be used to enhance engagement from their students and unleash their creativity. John Dewey once said, “if we teach today’s students as we taught yesterday’s, we rob them of tomorrow.” This couldn’t be truer of the current landscape, and how the education system needs to continue to evolve to keep educating our students effectively.
