University of Pittsburgh School of Law Selects Everspring to Support Online Programs

Everspring | January 19, 2022

Everspring, a leading provider of education technology and services to universities seeking to build or expand their online capabilities, announces a new partnership with the University of Pittsburgh School of Law (Pitt Law). Everspring will support the school's online Master of Studies in Law (MSL) and provide marketing, enrollment and student success services for the MSL and the law school's certificate programs in health care compliance, human resources law, and international business law and dispute resolution.

Pitt Law's innovative new online MSL is a 30-credit hour program designed for professionals who are not attorneys but whose work involves legal issues or requires an understanding of the law. The MSL provides a versatile, flexible path for these professionals to enhance their foundational legal knowledge and skills without obtaining a Juris Doctor degree. Students pursuing the MSL can complete the program fully or partially online. In addition, students may opt to pursue one or more certificates as a standalone offering or complete them as specializations within the MSL degree.

"We are in the midst of real transformation in the legal profession, and legal education must evolve with it. As we change, it is critically important to expand our offerings to allow more people to be trained in the law and to be able, in turn, to provide needed services to a wider array of people in the name of justice and equity. As we do this, we are keenly aware of the need to provide students with more options and flexibility in pursuing a legal education," said Amy J. Wildermuth, dean of the University of Pittsburgh School of Law. "Our partnership with Everspring ensures we will continue to enroll excellent students in our programs and that those students succeed and achieve their career goals."

"Everspring is thrilled to partner with Pitt Law in support of their innovative online programs. The school's forward-thinking investment in online legal education will pay dividends as the need increases for a wider range of legal education levels and skillsets—and as students increasingly demand flexibility in how they pursue graduate and continuing education."

CyberUSA Partners With Superus Careers to Launch the Cyber Career Exchange Platform

CyberUSA | April 20, 2022

On April 19th, CyberUSA, a national network of cyber communities, announced that it has partnered with Superus Careers to launch the Cyber Career Exchange platform. The partnership will support regional, state-level, and national communities to meet the cybersecurity talent gap. According to CyberSeek, a National Initiative for Cybersecurity Education (NICE) project estimates that there are over 600,000 unfilled positions in cybersecurity. As a specialized platform, the Cyber Career Exchange uses a dedicated methodology to help employers find skilled candidates based on job skills. It also provides a system for job seekers and employers to certify skills and lets them find and develop future employees. "I am proud of our advancements over the past 6 years in connecting cyber communities across the country. Starting with seven statewide cyber communities and growing thirty states to date has provided tremendous value in shaping the cybersecurity landscape at both the state and federal levels. With growing threats and talent shortage more has to be done. The most immediate solutions to filling the open cyber jobs is to provide a system, hosted within trusted communities across the US, designed specifically to help employers and candidates easily find one another. The Cyber Career Exchange accomplishes that goal and more." -CyberUSA's Co-founder David Powell "Having worked within and recruited for Financial Services and Healthcare organizations, I understand the vulnerabilities, especially with a shortage that exists in the workforce. I am excited for us to play our role in filling that void from an employment standpoint, which will have a positive impact on generations to come," -Superus Careers CEO, Larry Silver

Maine Virtual Academy (MEVA), a full-time, online public-school serving students in grades 7-11 throughout the state, is ready to kick off the new school year and give students an education option designed to help them reach their full potential. MEVA students and teachers open their laptops to start the 2021-2022 school year Monday, August 30. “While we continue to navigate through the uncertainty of this pandemic, I have full confidence in our teachers to help our students succeed,” said MEVA Head of School Dr. Melinda Browne. “I’m proud of what our students were able to achieve last year and cannot wait to see what heights we can reach this school year!” For most parents, the new school year comes with cautious optimism. Many families realized during the pandemic that attending school online is a safe alternative that allows them to focus on their child’s future. According to a recent survey by Stride, Inc., 91 percent of parents agree that it’s important for their children to have multiple school options, including full-time online or a hybrid model that blends online and in-person learning. And almost two-thirds of parents would consider full-time online public school after their 2020 pandemic-driven virtual education experience. Students choose online learning for a variety of reasons, including advanced learning, a bullying-free environment, and the flexibility to support extracurricular pursuits or medical needs while maintaining a focus on academics. MEVA’s online platform gives students the opportunity to pursue their academic goals in a supportive environment and at an appropriate pace for their learning style. MEVA is still accepting enrollments for the 2021-2022 school year. To learn more and how to enroll, visit meva.k12.com, or download the Stride K12 mobile app for iOS and Android devices.
