Innovations in technology: A new K-12 evaluation system

We are now in an era of information technology that continues to evolve; with the advancements we have, we can incorporate technology into our daily tasks to provide more efficient outputs. In the education system, there is an experimental breakthrough that involves gaming concept, AI technology, and automation into the K-12 assessment program. This modern based assessment was introduced by the Northwest Evaluation Association’s Product Innovation Center. Mike Nesterak, the senior director is spearheading this program. Nesterak’s 30 years of experience in the educational assessment industry with numerous involvement in different assessment methods has shared his insights in coming up with innovations in technology applications. With innovations in technology, the educator can easily personalize the content and timing of the test that is appropriate to the student without having to be physically there. Adaptive tests make use of computer-based exams to facilitate the assessment process. Studies show that it is a better method for measuring the true knowledge and ability of each student.
