EdCast Raises $35 Million Series D to Boost Corporate Learning Services

EdCast, a San Francisco-based provider of corporate learning software, has raised a $35 million Series D round. Avathon Capital, formerly known as Sterling Partners’ Education Opportunity Fund, led the round. National Grid Partners, State Street Global Advisors and REV Venture Partners also participated. Founded in 2013, EdCast plans to use the money toward market and product development, according to a statement Thursday. It offers a platform for employee training and education used by the likes of Mars, Hewlett Packard and the World Economic Forum. The company claims to have two million paid users.
