Promoting Transformation of Undergraduate STEM Education

Research on teaching and learning has led to the development of instructional methods that are more effective in helping students learn. These evidence-based teaching practices, which encourage student engagement and active learning, as well as create inclusive learning environments, have been documented by high-level reports and policy papers. At the same time, the national policy environment is reflecting a more coordinated effort to improve undergraduate science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) education across relevant organizations and actors.
