We believe America's public education system can and should be an engine of excellence and equity. To make that a reality — across entire cities and states, not just at individual schools — we need more than great teachers and principals. It also takes extraordinary people serving in the management and leadership roles in our school systems to ensure that every school, every classroom and every child gets what they need to be successful. The Broad Center identifies talented individuals from inside and outside K-12 education — people who have the passion, knowledge and skills to ensure every central-office dollar and decision is focused on opening the doors to educational opportunity for all students and then supports them in their work in school systems, even long after they graduate from our programs.
