The Leading Online Learning Platform For Parents Launches A Transformative Baby Sleep Class

Tinyhood | September 21, 2021

Tinyhood, the leading online education platform for parents, has launched a first-of-its-kind class Sleep 101: The Baby Sleep Solution for parents of babies 4-24 months. Taught by renowned sleep consultant Natalie Willes, this online class will teach parents to help their babies start sleeping 10-12 hours a night and taking predictable, longer naps in a matter of days.

For parents whose babies are struggling with short naps, nighttime or early wakings, or need to be rocked or nursed to sleep, this class gives parents a scientifically proven, step-by-step method that will help their babies learn the important skill of independent sleep for both bedtime and naps, along with access to moderated office hours with the expert. Plus, unlike in other online sleep classes, Tinyhood's class covers how to handle the most common troubleshooting scenarios such as regressions, illnesses, nap transitions, travel, and more -- through the toddler years. Taught by a sleep expert who's helped over 10,000 families, this program is truly as close as you can get to private sleep advice with one of the world's greatest sleep coaches.

"Tinyhood saw an opportunity to create a next-generation virtual class that combines the immersive experience of working with a sleep expert with the convenience and quality of best in class online learning," said co-founder and CEO Becky Miller. "With our professionally produced courses, we're able to provide an unmatched on-demand viewing experience complete with detailed schedules, worksheets, and moderated office hours with our expert. You can even follow along with real families as they implement the sleep program."

Tinyhood's courses are taught by the industry's leading experts in order to give parents the most reliable information. The platform is created with the busy, modern parent in mind. All courses are 100 percent flexible, allowing parents to learn at their own pace and in the comfort of their own homes.

"Studies show that babies who sleep well tend to be happier, with better emotional regulation." said co-founder and CTO Susan Blinn. "I'm just grateful that with our new class we are able to help families get the rest they need to grow & thrive."

Maryvit Education Center Using PowerSchool Personalized Learning Cloud to Support Teaching and Learning Infrastructure at New Campus

PowerSchool | June 02, 2023

PowerSchool today announced Maryvit Education Center (MEC) in Chonburi, Thailand has expanded its use of PowerSchool Schoology Learning, a key component of the PowerSchool Personalized Learning Cloud, to support K-10 students at its new campus, which opened in May 2023. With MEC’s newest campus open for the 2023-24 school year, MEC teachers will have access to intuitive tools to improve student performance, collaboration, parental and family engagement, and standards tracking. “PowerSchool Schoology Learning played a pivotal role in our operations throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, so selecting the platform to support our new campus’ operations only made sense,” said Dr. Steven Kitikiatisak, President, Maryvit Education Center. “Schoology Learning and our PowerSchool support team have proven they can help us create better learning outcomes for our students and staff. We look forward to leveraging Schoology Learning at our newest campus in the upcoming academic year.” Since its integration across the MEC network, Schoology Learning has helped its educators effectively manage course and material distribution. Notably, the platform helped MEC improve its hybrid learning infrastructure during the COVID-19 pandemic. Teachers were able to leverage the learning management system to create digital learning curriculums and games that increased students’ participation while remote. More broadly, Schoology also helped MEC increase parent-teacher-student communications and overall visibility into students’ progress and learning. Further, MEC teachers predominantly teach and create all their Schoology Learning content in Thai. They launched custom Schoology Learning user guides in Thai via a YouTube channel, to support students and their fellow educators. Maryvit Education Center is a private Catholic school network located within the Chonburi Province of Thailand. MEC provides more than 10,000 students a Thai-focused learning curriculum with an added emphasis on English and Chinese studies. The school network operates across three different campuses within the cities of Pattaya, Sattahip, and Bowin, and opened a new campus in Nikhom Pattana, Rayong in May 2023. Learneo, Inc. Accelerates AI Writing Innovation with LanguageTool Acquisition

PRnewswire | April 06, 2023

Learneo, Inc., an ambitious new platform of productivity and learning businesses and technologies, today announced its acquisition of German-founded LanguageTool, a multilingual writing platform for English, Spanish, and 30 other languages. This acquisition adds to Learneo's robust suite of writing solutions, while also advancing the company's larger international expansion strategy. "We are committed to supporting builder-driven businesses that help people learn and do more, faster, better, and more affordably—wherever learning occurs," said Andrew Grauer, CEO of Learneo. "The LanguageTool business fits squarely in our investment thesis and accelerates our mission thanks to their values-aligned and ambitious co-founders, their broad customer reach of B2C and B2B clients across the globe, and their unique language and AI expertise." Globally, most people communicate in more than one language today. Employers are increasingly expecting their employees to engage with colleagues, partners, and customers in multiple languages. In the U.S., for example, 9 out of 10 U.S. employers have reported that they rely on U.S.-based employees with language skills other than English. Born out of an interest in helping professionals communicate in an increasingly global world, Daniel Naber started LanguageTool as a part of his diploma thesis while studying computational linguistics in 2003. Naber spent many years building LanguageTool in his free time, initially as an open-source project and later as a business when he joined forces with Christopher Blum. Blum had previously founded the spell checking platform, Spellboy, and the two decided to collaborate and unify their experience by co-founding LanguageTool as a business. Today, LanguageTool boasts over 60,000 paying subscribers, including professionals and enterprise clients, and millions more free users across Europe and Latin America. "Having built LanguageTool over the course of the last 20 years, it has been exciting for us to find a partner so clearly aligned with our mission who also understands our advanced technology and can support our continued innovation in a moment of rapid technological evolution," said Naber. "Joining the Learneo team and having the ability to work alongside talent with phenomenal writing and AI expertise to accelerate our vision is a dream come true. We are deeply motivated by the possibilities that lie ahead!" With this acquisition, Learneo now comprises seven distinct business lines: CliffsNotes, Course Hero, LanguageTool, LitCharts, QuillBot, Scribbr, and Symbolab. Individually, and together, Learneo's platform of businesses is pioneering advances in a wide range of applications for emergent technologies, including the use of AI to improve people's written communications, reading, and math skills, whether they are in school, a professional work environment, or simply navigating everyday life. Most recently, QuillBot announced the addition of an AI-augmented translator to its platform, allowing users to translate complex texts and better understand the nuances of sentence structure, word choice, and verb conjugation. "In an ever-more-globalized, asynchronous work environment, accessible multilingual expertise for written communication is in high demand," said Rohan Gupta, CEO of QuillBot and head of Learneo's writing vertical. "Daniel, Christopher and the LanguageTool team have built something truly unique, and I am excited for us to build together, to evolve each of our product lines across Learneo's writing vertical, and to advance the international writing industry at large." About Learneo Learneo is pioneering a platform of productivity and learning businesses. The platform of businesses includes CliffsNotes, the original and iconic study guide company; Course Hero, an online learning platform of academic resources; LitCharts, a creator of literature resources; QuillBot, an AI-powered writing companion; Scribbr, a multilingual academic proofreading service, and Symbolab, an AI-based mathematics resource.
