Jenzabar Launches Campus Movement, Provides Shot in the Arm for Accessible, Affordable and Attainable Higher Education for All

Jenzabar Inc. | June 06, 2022

Jenzabar Launches Campus Movement
The premier innovator in higher education technology, Jenzabar Inc., launched the Campus Movement, an initiative to provide learners with practical skills. The initiative reflects Jenzabar’s commitment to building a world where anyone is able to learn and follow their passion. As part of the initiative. Jenzabar released the Campus Marketplace. The platform will empower educational institutions to offer courses for a broad audience of learners. It is a branded online storefront that will allow all students, enrolled or not, to register and pay for the courses they take. Jenzabar also recently acquired Spark451, which offers services to help develop enrolment strategies to enrol and retain students.

“Everyone should be able to become their own masterpiece, but the current education system does not work for all students. We need to think about how to build an education system that takes into account new economical landscapes, competitive work environments, and rapidly changing learner demographics, all of which have made it more difficult for individuals to get the education they need to succeed. The Campus Movement envisions a path forward in this challenging climate and aims to light the way for institutions to help learners acquire the skills they need to find lucrative careers. The Campus Movement is the roadmap to a more accessible, attainable, and affordable world of education.”

-Ling Chai Maginn, Jenzabar Founder, President, and CEO

With Campus Marketplace, institutions will be able to:
  • Streamline registrations for learners looking for non-credit courses
  •  Organize and deliver multiple course catalogs on a modern, sleek digital ecommerce storefront
  • Allow both enrolled students and unenrolled learners to register and pay for non-credit courses through a school’s website
  •  Integrate with Jenzabar One to deliver a seamless exchange of data as well as allow schools to track students’ academic journeys

“The traditional admissions recruitment environment has been disrupted. I rely on Spark451 to help Bloomfield College differentiate itself and engage future students in digital and social spheres.”

-Kevin Cavanagh, Vice President for Enrollment at Bloomfield College

The Campus Movement addresses the disconnect between traditional higher education degrees, changing student profiles, and the jobs that businesses need to fill. The Campus Movement also highlights how we envision the future of modern higher education, where learners of all types are empowered to pick their own pathways to earn the jobs they want and become their masterpiece.
Omer Riaz, Vice President of Strategy & Innovation at Jenzabar

New Zealand Based EdTech Company WuKong Education Announced the Upgrade for Its Technological Interactive Exercise Product

WuKong Education | August 12, 2022

WuKong Education, a New Zealand based EdTech company, announced a new round of upgrades for its technological teaching assistant product "WuKong Interactive Exercise". Fully embodying WuKong's "7-step Learning Method", namely the seven key steps of "Previewing - Learning - Reviewing - Consolidating - Reflecting - Examing - Applying", the upgraded product effectively combines the process of "learning" and "practising" to strengthen students' learning effects with diversified, interesting and scientific learning forms, so that learners can firmly grasp what has been learnt and really enjoy the learning process. WuKong has initiated the research and development of its interactive exercise product in July 2021. In September 2021, the product was put into use in the graded reading courses of WuKong Chinese, a famous Chinese curriculum product under WuKong Education. In October 2021, it was applied to WuKong Math as well. Since the launch of the product, its functions experienced several rounds of upgrades and have been continuously optimized according to various learning and teaching needs. This round of upgrades further enriched the contents in the question bank. Furthermore, based on AI interaction, voice recognition and other technologies, in-class knowledge can be integrated into the lively and interesting interactive homework display page, so as to effectively satisfy students' personalised learning needs and after-class reviewing needs. The product can also meet the demands of 1-on-1 class, small class, large class and other classroom types, as well as students at different learning levels. On the other hand, the upgrade of interactive exercise product also provides convenience for teachers. Teachers from WuKong can leave feedback on the homework submitted by students in real time through the product's voice interaction function, which improves the efficiency of online teaching, shortens the process of homework feedback, and enables teachers and students to communicate more effectively after class. "Since 2019, our IT team has invested millions of funds in the research and development of technological platforms and data platforms. We have built the industry's leading teaching quality management system and intelligent learning situation tracking and analysing system. Based on the continuous expansion of the market and the increasing needs of our learners, we have developed a set of relatively mature teaching content systems and technology platforms to meet users' personalised learning needs." - Cicy, Chief Education Officer of WuKong, said during the London EdTech Week We believe that for the majority of parents today, the most precious thing is to nurture their children's interest in learning. WuKong hopes to fully stimulate their children's interest and thinking in learning by means of technological empowerment. As one of the world's most popular education technology companies, our expectation is to help children grow happily and wisely, and to be a trusted companion in the learning process for families around the world said Cicy. Mrs. Zhang, a Tsinghua University graduate who is currently teaching in WuKong Education, expressed her reflections on the upgraded product: the WuKong Interactive Exercise can customize the exercise layout, automatically distribute homework in the system. Once the students submitted their exercises, I can also receive instant notifications and provide them with real time voice with feedback, which is really convenient and makes me feel like I'm getting closer to my students! Practical cases of the integration of technology and education are not rare in recent years, and technological innovations have brought more possibilities to the online education industry. Under this background, more and more EdTech enterprises are injecting investments in their scientific and technological research and development, hoping to bring more intelligent education products and services to learners. WuKong Education is among this marching army as well.

Modern Compliance Training Startup Ethena Launches Code of Conduct Training

Ethena | August 04, 2022

Ethena, a modern compliance training platform, announced the launch of its Code of Conduct training. The course transforms the Code of Conduct training that public companies are required to do from a “check-the-box” activity, into training that speaks to each company’s values and shares expectations of what it means to be acting ethically and inclusively. “A company’s Code of Conduct shares the principles and standards that everyone at the company needs to follow – that’s a really important vision to articulate, especially to new hires, Despite its importance, historically, most organizations have struggled to develop training that keeps company values and standards top of mind throughout the year. Usually, it ends up being generic training and check-the-box attestation. We saw companies hungry for something better but also scalable in the era of distributed teams. That’s why Ethena developed our Code of Conduct training to help build ethical and inclusive companies.” -Roxanne Petraeus, Ethena CEO and co-founder In the United States, all public companies are legally required to have a Code of Conduct, a mandate that began with the establishment of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act in 2002. Codes of Conduct have become the standard for building ethical workplaces–so much so that even private companies and growing startups develop their own internal Codes. A Code of Conduct typically encapsulates mission, core values, and culture statements combined with critical rules and regulations–all of which make for a complex, lengthy document. The density of most Codes has made it difficult for compliance professionals to implement effective training, and even harder for employees to retain that content. It is not uncommon for new hires to read the Code during the onboarding process, sign an attestation saying they will follow the rules stated within the document, and then never hear about the Code again. From public companies to up-and-coming startups, many organizations want to communicate and re-educate employees about the Code over the course of the year, but that has become increasingly difficult with the amount of required training employees receive. As a result, aspects of Code training either get added onto other training initiatives, or just get passed over due to tight budgets and training fatigue. Ethena’s fully configurable, off-the-shelf Code of Conduct training makes it easier for compliance officers, Legal and HR teams, and managers to educate employees about the Code consistently while not asking for too much employee time. Companies like Zoom have already deployed Ethena’s training to provide continual opportunities for their employees to learn about the Code of Conduct. Ethena provides the only Code training that is designed in digestible bits of training, which can be delivered at the Moments that Matter. For example, a company can deliver its “Gifts and Entertainment” training right before the holiday season for maximum learning and retention. In today’s constantly evolving business landscape, continuous learning in all aspects of an organization is essential, At Zoom, we extend our passion for continuous learning to our Code of Conduct to help foster value- and purpose-oriented teams, just as our product teams leverage their learnings to create the next-generation of product and business innovation, said Lynn Haaland, Zoom’s Chief Compliance, Ethics, and Privacy Officer. ABOUT ETHENA Ethena is a modern compliance training platform that provides innovative, effective training for companies. Instead of just checking a box, Ethena training builds ethical and inclusive company cultures while providing admins with a seamless software experience to navigate the increasingly-complex web of compliance training requirements. Ethena was founded by Roxanne Petraeus and Anne Solmssen, who drew upon their diverse backgrounds in the U.S. Army, consulting and startups to reinvent the stuffy world of corporate training. Ethena was named one of the most promising enterprise startups in 2021 by Insider.
