XR or Extended Reality refers to technology-mediated experiences that combine digital and biological realities. Technology that supports the creation of XR includes a wide range of hardware and software including sensory interfaces, applications, and infrastructures. These enable content creation for virtual reality (VR), mixed reality (MR), augmented reality (AR), cinematic reality (CR), 360-degree video, etc. Extended Reality, or XR, is a relatively new development in most circles. It is an umbrella term given to all computer-generated environments.
